Parents know that technology is accelerating and threatening to engulf their adolescents. Yet the magnitude and implications of today’s trends remain difficult to imagine. The heart, mind and healthy gender of your child is at stake. Can young men enter the passive land of boys & toys without being trapped until age 30? Can young girls wield the power of social networking without cementing their personalities as controller sand manipulators? Can either withstand the trickle down from the adult and college culture where sexuality is a human right, divorced from any meaningful type of relationship?
Don has served in Student Ministries 25+ years to working now with Parents of Adolescents and Empty Nesters. Don is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Cornerstone University and Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary. Don and his wife, Julie, have three grown children.

True North Ministries
Life is all about relationships. We're always relating to God whether we know it or not. We can harden our hearts toward him and try to ignore him, we can live with a half-hearted commitment to him, or we can truly love him. Whatever we choose, we're relating to God and he's always relating to us. As root issues come to light, we help people embrace the truth they need in order to "go north." Gary is pastor of Small Groups and Discipleship at BHBC. He and his wife Lisa both are licensed counselors.

Dwelling Under a Friendly Sky
In 2008, Chris De Man transitioned from a 15-year engineering career to become the Director of Support Ministries at BHBC. Chris holds a Master of Arts in Religion degree from Liberty Theological Seminary. Chris helps lead BHBC's FamilyWorks and Biblically Authentic Men (BAM) ministry. He has been married to Katrina for 19 years. They have five children, a moldy popup camper, and a very needy dog. Those stats indicate there’s plenty of fodder for blogging about the serious, humorous, disappointing and blessed realities of family life.
