Men
LEARN & CONNECT
Learning and applying biblical truth is core to Blythefield’s ministry to men. In the context of manly friendships, men are equipped and encouraged to grow in their whole-hearted devotion to Jesus Christ. In their roles as husbands, fathers, friends and workers men are challenged to reject passivity, accept responsibility, lead courageously and expect a greater reward – God’s reward.
Biblically authentic manhood is tough work. It can’t be done alone. Join the community of men at BHBC working hard to bring grace, truth and healing to all of their relationships.

Biblically Authentic Men (B.A.M!) 2011-12 | Manhood Unleashed
As a man, you’ve
been there. That place where you know what to do, but can’t. You’re stuck. Frozen.
Stretched into tension by the drag of passivity and the call to obedience. Your
courage has been beat-up by fear. You’re tired. With a sigh, you write-off
today. Tomorrow will be better, right?
Living as a
biblically authentic man is tough work. Every man needs help. Help to break
free from the lies that hinder being the husband, father, friend and mentor God
desires. Help to shake loose what bogs you down in your journey of faithful
obedience.
In B.A.M. this
year, you’ll be unleashed – in a good way. Unleashed to live as a redeemed son
of God. In this community of Christ-minded men you’ll learn more about how we
were created, what went wrong, and what it means to release our souls to live
with God-honoring manliness. You’ll be challenged,
encouraged and prayed for. Join us, and be unleashed!
Thursday mornings, 6-7:30am, beginning October 6.

What's best for you: Men's Fraternity or B.A.M.?
~ The Men's Fraternity curriculum is foundational in it's content. Manhood is defined, wounds (struggles) are described and discussed, and a strong challenge is given to reject passivity and accept responsibility for winning at work and home. Men's Fraternity is very practical and instructional as it equips and encourages men. The format is one hour of teaching and 1/2 hour of small group interaction.
~ B.A.M. places a strong emphasis on cultivating a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The content of B.A.M. is designed to stimulate a closer look at the ways we need God's grace, and what that grace looks like in marriage, parenting, friendships and in the workplace. B.A.M. is instructional, but has an emphasis on fostering Christ-centered, manly relationships. The format is 1/2 hour of teaching followed by one hour of small group interaction.
Men's Fraternity and B.A.M. both teach biblical truth in the context of relationships. Either program is an excellent way for a man to grow in his discipleship of Jesus Christ. If you can't decide which group to join, contact one (or both) of the ministry leaders listed above. They would be glad to help guide you to the best fit this season. And, no matter which group you join this year, you're not locked for life. Men's Fraternity and B.A.M. are always open to new and returning participants.
