Who We Are

GRATITUDE INSIDE
We are grateful because we have been rescued. Rescued from the hopelessness of life lived without a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. At Blythefield Hills, followers of Jesus are challenged to grow toward wholeheartedness in their discipleship. With thankfulness and joy we gather each week for worship, learning and encouragement recognizing the importance of God’s Word, His Spirit, and His people for spiritual growth and refreshment. Our passion is to foster a community of Spirit-led, authentic relationships that support and equip families and individuals to grow in their love for God and people.

COMPASSION OUTSIDE
Disciples are people of action. In grateful obedience we bring the truth and love of Jesus Christ to a world desperate for help. Partnering with the Holy Spirit in local, regional, and global venues we serve those in need of physical, emotional and financial assistance. But we don’t stop there. The need we ultimately labor to meet is spiritual, and can only be satisfied by the gift of grace offered by Jesus. Through prayer, acts of service and intentional conversations we strive to present a clear testimony of salvation by that reconciling grace. This is true compassion.

CULTURAL IMPACT
A disciple’s lifestyle of loving God and loving people runs counter to our self-focused culture.  Using personal stories of how Jesus has touched and changed us, we seek ways to influence our divisive world with a message of wholeness. In the context of relationships we make every effort to shift the focus of our culture from self gratification and affluence to humility and sacrifice. It’s the message of Jesus. As His disciples, we must speak that message – with love.
